![]() Statement by Andréa X. Tasha, tattoo artist: (Here is what I came up with about my doll. I think she may be a little bit of a psychological mess, and I didn't want to betray client confidentiality by telling everyone her story--- clients really do let loose when they're in the chair...) I don't know this doll's name--- she wasn't telling... It was very intimate, almost disconcerting, "tattooing" her small body, expressing some of what seemed to lurk behind those pale eyes. Her designs weren't planned on paper; we just sat down and let her direct my pen. The skin left "opaque," not revealing any of her inner self, represents her future, rather than her past.
